ROGER C. BERNHAMMER, ESQ.
Mr. Bernhammer is an associate of the firm, having become so employed in September, 1997 upon the completion of his judicial clerkship in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County. While serving as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Craig R. Harris, Mr. Bernhammer performed the legal research on, and drafted the legal memoranda and bench opinions for, a variety of civil litigation, including commercial, construction, contract, personal injury and evidentiary matters. In addition, Mr. Bernhammer performed similar research and drafting tasks in a variety of family law litigation, including divorce, child custody and adoption matters.
Mr. Bernhammer's practice has included counseling, negotiation and litigation in a variety of civil matters, including appearances in both State and Federal court. Mr. Bernhammer has handled and/or been predominantly involved in many cases involving, among other things: insurance coverage issues, contract disputes (private and public), commercial transactions, construction matters, employment law issues, personal injury, intentional torts, bankruptcy matters and the collection of debts.
Mr. Bernhammer's knowledge and talents in the field of insurance law is furthered by his experience as a professional insurance agent. Mr. Bernhammer currently holds his property and casualty producers license, and his certified insurance counselor application is currently pending. This inside insurance experience gives Mr. Bernhammer unique insight into the terms, conditions and exclusions of a variety of insurance policies, and ultimately into the coverage available to clients of the firm.
Mr. Bernhammer received his bachelor's degree in finance from Seton Hall University School of Business in 1993, and his juris doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1996. Mr. Bernhammer is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
